Honda knows that the average family spends a large portion of their time in the car. Between pickups and dropoffs for school, sports, clubs, playdates, and family trips, your kids tend to spend several hours a week in transit. Therefore, Honda has decided that the time spent in the car could be used to help inspire kids to become more interested in reading and creativity. That’s why they have released the new Honda Road Readers app to help you provide a better selection of listening options for your travels.

This new app will be available for Apple® and Android™ and it will include 10 rotating National Teacher of the Year featured books along with a number of audiobook categories that include fantasy/adventure, mystery, science fiction, and teens. This new app is especially relevant in today’s society where a recent study showed that the majority of parents feel that listening to stories is vital to their child’s cognitive development and developing listening skills. Additionally, in a world that is run by digital screens, it is important to have an entertainment option that does not require the child to be looking at one.

“The goal for the Honda Road Readers program is to provide an educational and entertaining alternative to the usual car ride and inspire young listeners to vividly imagine,” said Susie Rossick, Assistant Vice President, Honda/Acura Regional Media and Marketing at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “This effort is a powerful demonstration of our commitment to the brand’s ‘Power of Dreams’ philosophy by encouraging our customers and their families to dream big together.”

Any Honda owner who is interested in this new app can visit www.hondaroadreaders.com to register and learn more.
