Recently, the 2016 Honda CR-V earned a 5-Star rating in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program. The 5-Star rating is the highest rating that a car can receive, and on top of that, the 2016 CR-V was also given a TOP SAFETY PICK+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
“Consumers have made the CR-V America’s best-selling SUV for good reason, and this top government safety rating just adds one more appealing and class-leading attribute,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. “Honda is committed to offering vehicles that deliver advanced safety, fun-to-drive performance and connectivity, with top fuel economy ratings. CR-V is that kind of vehicle.”
The 2016 CR-V features some of the newest technology available. It uses Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering body, a rearview camera, forward collision warnings and lane departure warnings, to keep passengers as safe as can be. It was also the first Honda vehicle to use Honda Sensing, a new feature that helps avoid accidents, and minimize damage if an accident occurs. With an even longer list of additional features, the 2016 CR-V rightfully earned its award.
