Honda Launches New 2016 Pilot Campaign
In order to showcase the impressive versatility and array of available premium features found on the 2016 Honda Pilot, the brand has released a new marketing campaign featuring this all-new model. Through this extensive campaign, the brand will be releasing a series of TV, digital and print advertising spots that focus on the upgraded features and capabilities of the 2016 Pilot. Two new TV spots for the campaign have already been released to television and on the official Honda youTube page.
“The campaign leverages the Pilot’s strengths with two impactful spots, showing that the Pilot is ‘Ready for Anything.’ With its all-new styling, premium technology, and adaptability, it’s the perfect vehicle for everyone,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Automobile Division of American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
The first video for the campaign is called “The Incredible Pilot Elite” and it focuses on the impressive versatility of the 2016 Pilot by showing the vehicle put through a variety of different situations and highlighting how its handles each scenario. This advertisement is the centerpiece for the entire campaign as it highlights all of the aspects of this model that make it ideal for families.
The Incredible Elite:
The second video is called “Even Better” and it features family driving home in the 2016 Pilot after a day out. The ride initially begins quiet, but then the family launched into an impromptu sing-along of the song “Buddy Holly” by Weezer. This new spot has been designed to capture the attention of kids and parents alike by featuring a song that parents will recognize and that kids will find catchy.

Honda Sales Released For June
According to American Honda Motor Co., Inc., the Honda Division sold a total of 118,870 units during June showing yet another mom-over-month increase. Honda’s year-over-year sales also increased with total sales for the first six months of the year reaching 665,914 units, a .07 percent increase over January-June of 2014.
“With the introduction of the 2016 Pilot late last month, our SUV lineup is the strongest it has ever been, and it was already in very good shape,” said Jeff Conrad, Honda Division senior vice president and general manager. “The next several months will be exciting as we begin to renew and expand our car lineup.”
June Sales Highlights:
- Sales of the Accord reached 27,477 units
- Sales of the Civic reached 28,727 units
- Sales of the Fit increased 21 percent with 4,669 units
- Sales of the Crosstour increased by 19 percent 837 units
- Sales of the CR-V increased by 4.2 percent with 28,349 units
- Sales of the HR-V reached 7,760 units
- Sales of the Odyssey increased by 2.2 percent with 11,621 units
- Sales of the Pilot reached 9,093 units

Honda Introduces the New Pioneer 1000
Earlier this month, Honda introduced two all-new side-by-side models, the 2016 Pioneer 1000 and the 2016 Pioneer 1000-5. Coming with a 6-speed fully automatic Dual Clutch transmission and a wide range of different features, the Pioneer 1000 looks to expand and innovate the capabilities and performance for whatever you’re doing.
“We’re very excited about the all-new 999cc engine we’ve developed for these new Pioneers,” said Lee Edmunds, Manager of Motorcycle Marketing Communications at American Honda. “We’ve also added the industry’s only fully automatic mechanical transmission—the 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. When entering adulthood, many teens lack the skills that make them financially literate. The American Honda Finance Corporation is making the push to change that by sponsoring the Junior Achievement USA® (JA) Personal Finance Program. This program looks to develop financially literate skills in around half a million teens over the course of the next four years.
JA Personal Finance is focused on helping high school students improve their understanding of financial concepts like investing, budgeting, and saving, as well as properly using credit. Funding will go towards incorporating both digital technologies as well as in-class learning with JA volunteers, to create an experience that will help teens learn in an enjoyable way.
Owning a vehicle involves many financial responsibilities and the campaign looks to ensure that teens fully understand these responsibilities. A variety of topics such as paying for insurance, options for financing, and routine maintenance, will all be covered to help teens make better decisions when it comes to future financing opportunities.
