Honda recently released a new advertisement for the Honda Civic and Honda Civic Type R Concept. This unique advertisement shows a man driving each of these models while constantly flipping back and forth to show the differences and possibilities that each model offers. When driving the Honda Civic, the man is portrayed as just a typical family man driving his kids home from school. When he is behind the wheel of the Honda Civic Type R Concept, however, he is seen on a very different kind of drive involved in a much darker and more dangerous activity.  Check out the video above to see this creative advertisement for yourself.

Honda recently released a new segment of its “What Makes A Honda Is Who Makes A Honda” 12-Part video series.  This new installment puts the spotlight on Honda of Canada mfg. safety leader Angie Trumpler.  For the past 26 years, Trumpler has been an active part of the Honda family.  Her role as a safety leader is one that she first took on about four years ago.

In her spare time Trumpler continues to promote safety by serving as a volunteer firefighter with her local fire department.   She also spends part of her time working with students aged 7-21 at the Miniature Horse Club of Ontario.  There, she coaches the students on the proper handling of the horses to help instill self-confidence in them by giving them a sense of accomplishment that comes with mastering these skills.

“The biggest change I notice about kids in the program is the self confidence that they build and how it helps them solve day-to-day challenges. This gives them the ability to talk to people and adapt to situations,” Trumpler said. “They have fun with the mini horses since they are less intimidating and easier to handle than full-sized horses, and it really helps them build confidence and self-esteem. We’ve noticed that many of them are doing better in school after they join the program.”

A glimpse of the F1 Turbo Power Unit, newly developed by Honda, was recently released to the public.  This new engine was developed by Honda to supply McLaren vehicles throughout the 2015 racing season including the pre-season testing.  Having been named as the official supplier for McLaren, Honda is marking its return to the F1 racing world with a big power boost with this new engine model.

“Working toward Honda’s F1 participation starting in the 2015 season, development of the power unit is entering its prime phase at our R&D facility in Sakura (Tochigi, Japan), where we transferred our automobile motor sports development earlier this year,” Yasuhisa Arai, Senior Managing Officer of Honda R&D, said. “In addition to conducting simulations, we have moved onto the next stage where we conduct full-fledged bench tests of the engine while connecting the turbocharger and energy recovery systems.”
