Honda Attends GirlPower! With The UNICUB
As a supporter of STEM Education, Honda has invested time and resources over the years into helping young men and women get interested in the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The “Power of Dreams” company knows that the young people studying these subjects now may be the future innovators of the automotive industry tomorrow. Recently, it has come to Honda’s attention that there is an imbalance of men and women in STEM fields, so they have increased their efforts in getting young girls interested in STEM subjects. Recently, Honda visited GirlPower!, a conference that invites young female students in to explore and learn about science, technology, engineering, and math and show them how bright their future could be if they pursued these subjects. Car Buzz Tests Out the New 2016 Honda Civic
The Honda Civic has always been an iconic vehicle in the United States, known for its practicality and efficiency, but the 10th-generation is offering much more and turning even more heads. After it received the nomination for the prestigious 2016 North American Car of the Year, Honda gave Car Buzz a brand new 2016 four-door Honda Civic Touring so they could test out this spectacular vehicle for themselves.
It didn’t take long for Car Buzz to recognize everything the all-new Civic had to offer. They were pleasantly surprised with the powerful yet smooth delivery the 174 horsepower 1.5 LIter Turbo Four-Cylinder Engine offered. However, they were even more impressed with the LED headlights and taillights, and the lower, wider, and longer stances that gave the redesigned Civic and athletic exterior. Inside the cabin, they noted it was spacious and enjoy the well-appointed features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and heated front and rear seats. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline is not expected to arrive at dealerships until sometime this summer, but that hasn’t stopped people from talking about it! Recently, the Environmental Protection Agency has released the official fuel-efficiency estimates for the redesigned midsize pickup. The new Ridgeline was given an EPA estimated mpg of 19 city/26 highway/22 combined, which is an increase of 5 mpg from the last generation, allowing the Honda to be competitive against other trucks in the midsize segment.
To achieve this estimate, the 2017 Honda Ridgeline features Front-Wheel Drive and a 3.5 Liter V6 Engine. Opting for the Four-Wheel Drive package only results in a slight drop of 18/25/21 mpg. This beats out both the Toyota Tacoma and Chevy Colorado.
