Honda Introduces the New Pioneer 1000

Earlier this month, Honda introduced two all-new side-by-side models, the 2016 Pioneer 1000 and the 2016 Pioneer 1000-5. Coming with a 6-speed fully automatic Dual Clutch transmission and a wide range of different features, the Pioneer 1000 looks to expand and innovate the capabilities and performance for whatever you’re doing.

“We’re very excited about the all-new 999cc engine we’ve developed for these new Pioneers,” said Lee Edmunds, Manager of Motorcycle Marketing Communications at American Honda. “We’ve also added the industry’s only fully automatic mechanical transmission—the 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. With steel gears, the DCT offers true engine braking, seamless shifting and a smooth, reliable transfer of power.”

The Pioneer 1000 is backed by an inline, twin-cylinder, Unicam® 999cc engine. On top of that, no side-by-side before it has had a fully automatic 6-speed DCT. Making use of parts from around the globe and built here in the USA, the Pioneer 1000 is the largest in the Pioneer lineup. With five different configurations to choose from features like 14-inch aluminum wheels, four-wheel drive, electric power steering, and many more are all available. With so many options available, there’s a pioneer for anyone.
