As a parent, your son or daughter getting their driver’s license is a very proud yet scary moment. When they hit the road, you’ll want to make sure they’re in a safe, reliable vehicle that also allows them to enjoy the independence of driving! CarBuzz has compiled a list of the top five vehicles that parents should buy their teenagers to make this process easier. They considered style, affordability, and most importantly, safety, when choosing their picks.

Not surprisingly, the 2016 Honda Fit arrived at number five on the list. As “the best designed car for teenagers,” Carbuzz explains all of the benefits to purchasing this vehicle (did we mention the starting MSRP is $15,890?). It is powered by a 1.5 Liter Four-Cylinder Engine and The Six-Speed Manual Transmission which will prevent your teen from any dangerous side activities such as texting and driving. Plus, they’ll be having so much fun with the 130 horsepower engine with Vtec, they won’t even want to! The Fit is also loaded with available techy features that will appeal to any teen, like the optional touchscreen radio. Plus, the rear fold-down seats are perfect from everything to running errands to a weekend road trip.
