The What Makes a Honda is Who Makes a Honda video series highlights Honda employees who exemplify Honda’s belief in the Power of Dreams. The latest installment follows two Honda Research & Development associates who are involved in the Walking Assist Project. Hideaki Takahashi and Kenton Williams have been collaborating to advance a Honda Robotics technology that will help people to walk during physical therapy. While both men come from very different cultures and backgrounds (Takahashi is a native of Japan, while Williams is a MIT graduate from Ohio), their passion over this project has brought them together. Williams remarked that their “shared desire to help people with disabilities transcends any difference.” Both Williams and Takahashi are striving to achieve Honda’s dream of offering the joy of mobility to more people. Takahashi noted, “Walking is the most primitive, fundamental form of mobility. That's why it is important for Honda to continue to work on this product.” "Honda Engineers Are Who Makes a Honda." Honda Improves Red Riders Rewards Program for 2016
Honda has announced that they are adding a number of new incentives to their Red Riders Rewards Program for 2016. These changes and improvements will allow for close to $7 million in savings to be available to Honda racers over the next year. "We're very excited that Honda's Red Riders Rewards program is even bigger and better for this year," said Mike Snyder, Senior Manager of Powersports Marketing at American Honda. "We have been working hard to improve our program to better serve privateer pros and amateurs, across all racing organizations. Also, the addition of PayPal means that redeeming awards is more convenient and quicker than ever." 2016 Honda CR-V Earns 5-Star New Car Assessment Program Rating
Recently, the 2016 Honda CR-V earned a 5-Star rating in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program. The 5-Star rating is the highest rating that a car can receive, and on top of that, the 2016 CR-V was also given a TOP SAFETY PICK+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). "Consumers have made the CR-V America's best-selling SUV for good reason, and this top government safety rating just adds one more appealing and class-leading attribute," said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. "Honda is committed to offering vehicles that deliver advanced safety, fun-to-drive performance and connectivity, with top fuel economy ratings. CR-V is that kind of vehicle." The 2016 CR-V features some of the newest technology available. It uses Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering body, a rearview camera, forward collision warnings and lane departure warnings, to keep passengers as safe as can be. It was also the first Honda vehicle to use Honda Sensing, a new feature that helps avoid accidents, and minimize damage if an accident occurs. With an even longer list of additional features, the 2016 CR-V rightfully earned its award.
