A new advertisement called “Endless Road” has been released by Honda featuring the all-new Honda CR-V, the brand’s most advanced ever. In the advertisement, we are given a mesmerizing illusion of the vehicle traveling in circles around the same road again and again. This visual is meant to depict the brand’s mentality that the road to developing the perfect vehicle is never-ending. SNL Cast Members Engage Fans With Honda Vehicles
The 2015 Honda HR-V and the 2016 Honda CR-V will be making appearances in several new episodes of NBCUniversal’s Saturday Night Live show that airs prior to the famous Saturday Night Live show each week. The pre-show was created as a special way to pay tribute to the show’s loyal fanbase who wait in line for days outside of 30 Rock for the chance to obtain tickets to that week’s performance. Saturday Night Line features several of the show’s fan favorite castmates such as Bobby Moynihan, Kenan Thompson and Aidy Bryant engaging in some impromptu activities with a few lucky fans waiting in line. For a few of the newest episodes, these two Honda models will provide a rolling location as part of an agreement between Honda and NBCUniversal. Honda Manufacturing of Indiana. LLC Celebrates 1 Million Milestone
Honda Manufacturing of Indiana. LLC (HMIN) and its more than 2,000 employees recently celebrated the milestone achievement of the 1 millionth Honda vehicle to be built at their plant. This impressive accomplishment was reached in just over six years as the plant first began producing Honda Vehicles on October 9, 2008 with the building of the Honda Civic. "We have come a long way from where Honda Manufacturing of Indiana started in 2008 to where we are today," said Bob Nelson, HMIN president. "Our associates have shown tremendous commitment and dedication to get us to this major milestone and we will continue to work to provide our customers with products of the highest quality. HondaJet World Tour Set To Start This Month
At the end of the month, Honda Aircraft Company will be embarking on a HondaJet World Tour through thirteen different countries throughout Japan and Europe. During the traveling of the tour, the HondaJet will be truly to the test as it will accumulate over 26,000 nautical miles of flight. From April 25 - May 5 the HondaJet will be making stops throughout Japan. These stops will include appearances at several different airports including Narita International Airport. These stops will include a combination of static and flight demonstrations in order to fully showcase the capabilities of this all-new light jet. Once in Europe, the HondaJet will be put on display at the Geneva International Airport from May 19 - May 21 in order to participate in the 15th annual European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland. "We are excited to bring the HondaJet to EBACE and showcase its performance capabilities in Europe," said Honda Aircraft Company President and CEO Michimasa Fujino. "The HondaJet has broad appeal in this region with its speed, superior efficiency, and a range that connects most of the major cities in Europe and the United Kingdom." Following EBACE, the HondaJet will make stops in six other major countries to conduct more static and flight demonstrations. These countries will include Switzerland (Geneva); U.K. (Farnborough and Birmingham); Belgium (Antwerp); France (Paris); Germany (Munich, Hamburg and Moenchen); and Poland (Warsaw).* *HondaJet world tour dates are subject to change due to weather and airport availability along the planned flight route.
SAE 2015 World Congress & Exhibition Hosted By Honda
Honda will be hosting the SAE 2015 World Congress & Exhibition taking place from April 21-23. This Congress will serve as a platform for innovative discussions and is expected to have more than 11,000 automotive engineers in attendance. Additionally, the congress will release more than 1,400 technical papers and 1,500 presentations including the opening address provided by and Director of Engineering at Google, Ray Kurzweil. Ray Kurzweil is an acclaimed American inventor who is considered by many to be the world’s leading expert in the field of artificial intelligence. Additionally, he has written five national best-selling books, holds 20 honorary doctorates, was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame and received the National Medal of Technology. "The visionary spirit of Ray Kurzweil is a perfect match for the kickoff of the world's most important gathering of automotive engineering talent," said Erik Berkman, general chairman of the 2015 World Congress and executive vice president of Honda North America, Inc. FAA Provides Production Certification to Honda Aero, Inc.
An impressive production milestone was recently achieved by Honda Aero, Inc. (HAI) when the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) presented the facility with a PART 21 Production Certificate. This certification was presented to HAI for the production of the GE Honda Aero Engines (GHAE) HF120 turbofan engine that was developed to power the all-new HondaJet. Receiving this certification was an important milestone accomplishment for the HAI as this is the first time in the last 23 years of aviation history that a company has received an FAA certification for the development of a Jet Engine. This now means that HAI now has the ability to begin producing engines under the HAI Production Certificate. "This is a great achievement for our team of Honda Aero associates and an important milestone in our effort to meet the needs of customers for the HF120 engine," said HAI President Masahiko Izumi. "Much work has gone into preparing for this certification, and we will continue working to support GE Honda Aero Engines as they prepare for entry into service with the HF120 engine."
Honda Presents Loyal Customer with 55th Honda Motorcycle
Customer Loyalty is important in the auto industry because it is the repeat customers that will continue to bring in business for generations to come. One such loyalty Honda customer, Harry Adler, is a Motorcycle enthusiast and has purchased nearly every bike that he has ever owned from Honda. Recently Adler was presented with the keys to a 2015 Honda CB300F by the automaker in honor of his years of loyalty. This new gift will now be the 55th Honda Motorcycle that Adler has owned in the years of riding Honda’s. Previous models that he owned included the CBR250R, CRF230M, a VTX1800C and a Helix scooter. HondaJet Flight Simulator Installed at World Headquarters
The first-ever HondaJet flight simulator has been installed at the Honda World headquarters in Greensboro, NC. This unique simulator offers a full motion, level D simulation that will work along with a new training program that the company has developed along with FlightSafety International. This new simulator and training program will have the technology to provide a number of scenarios that replicate situations that a pilot would experience while flying one of the HondaJets. This will help to prepare them to more safely handle these aircrafts once they actually have them in the air. "Pilot training is an important factor for safety, and we are putting significant effort and investment into flight training for all of our customers," said Honda Aircraft Company President and CEO Michimasa Fujino. "The HondaJet flight simulator will be an invaluable training tool in preparing pilots to operate the world's most advanced light jet. It is part of a customized training program that will use the latest technologies to create a learning experience that is engaging and real to life.". 2016 Honda Pilot Debuts
The all-new 2016 Honda Pilot recently made its official world debut at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. This model is the latest in a long line of Honda models and has been redesigned with a variety of new upgrades. A few of these upgrades include a heated steering wheel, a seven-passenger capacity complete with two captain chairs in the middle, a shift push button, a power moonroof and more. Honda Vehicles Top 2014 Registrations
According to data collected by IHS Automotive, four Honda models were among the most popular vehicles purchased by consumers in 2014. These four vehicles include the Accord, CR-V, Civic and Odyssey, making this the second year in a row that these models have achieved this impressive ranking. IHS Automotive came to this conclusion by researching new vehicle registrations for 2014 in order to determine which models were purchased the most throughout the year. Overall, the registrations for the year showed that four of the best-selling passenger vehicles in America are Honda models. Additionally, new vehicle registrations of Hondas amounted to 98% of total registrations, which is the most out of any other automaker in the industry. Total registrations for the Accord, CR-V, Civic models alone totaled over one million, with each individual model receiving over 300,000 registrations. The Odyssey received total registrations of 119,615 units, which is more than received by any other minivan on the market. "Retail sales are simply a better yardstick for measuring real-world product appeal, and Honda's focus on retail sales translates to higher resale value and lower lifetime ownership costs for our customers," said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. "We're looking to build on our retail sales momentum in the light truck category in the year ahead with innovative new products including the new Honda HR-V crossover and redesigned Pilot SUV."
