Total sales results for December and all of 2014 have been announced by American Honda Motor Co. The company states that sales increased over 2013 by 1% with the final total coming to 1,373,029 units making 2014 one of the best sales years in Honda history. "Despite the price of gasoline dropping well below $3 a gallon in many markets, Honda's strong, balanced lineup of cars and trucks helped us achieve record sales in 2014," said Jeff Conrad, Honda division senior vice president and general manager. "The great news is that we will build on this momentum with some great new products coming in 2015." Additional Honda Highlights: Fit sales December increased 39.7% with 6,450 units, YTD sales increased 10.9% with 53,340 units YTD Civic sales reached more than 325,000 units Pilot December sales increased 28% with 11,479 units YTD Accord sales increased 5.9% with 388,374 units CR-V December sales increased 12.6% with 32,369 units, YTD sales increased 10.2% with 335,019 units

It was recently reported by American Honda Motor Co., Inc. that total sales for Honda Division in October reached 105,745 units, a 5.5% increase over sales from October 2013. The increase can be attributed to the steady positive sales of several popular models such as the Fit, Accord and CR-V. "The new 2015 CR-V is giving renewed momentum to what has already been an incredible year," said Jeff Conrad, Honda division senior vice president and general manager. "The success of the new Fit is an important step in re-establishing small cars as a pillar in the Honda lineup." American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is celebrating its best sales results for September since 2007 with a grand total of 107,391 units sold in September 2014, an increase of 11.2% over last September.  Several of the brand’s individual models experienced a sales increase for the month as well with the Honda Fit and CR-V each setting a new monthly record. Fit sales reached 6,628 units, a 66.5% increase Odyssey sales reached 8,769 units, a 13.7% increase Accord sales reached 32,956 units, a 30.9% increase CR-V sales reached 23,722 units, a 10.6% increase "With all core Honda models now made in North America the Honda brand is continuing to gain strength with American car buyers," said Jeff Conrad, Honda division senior vice president and general manager. "And with the redesigned 2015 Honda CR-V going on sale today we expect our momentum to continue to grow as step-by-step we reinforce our light truck lineup."

American Honda Motor Co., Inc’s sales in August were great. Honda division sales reached an impressive 151,551 units. A big part of this success was the Honda Accord, which sold 51,075 units. It was the eighth month straight in sales gains for this model. There was other good news for the brand as well. This was the third best sales month in 44 years for Honda division. It helped make for a grand total of 1,042,382 units sold year to date. "The fundamental strengths of the Honda brand are on full display as the Accord strengthened its position as the best-selling car uniquely driven by retail sales to individual buyers," said Jeff Conrad, Honda Division senior vice president and general manager. "Our other core models, Civic, CR-V and Odyssey are also performing well and continue to drive our retail sales leadership in 2014. And the early market response to the redesigned 2015 Fit is a strong indicator of great things to come as supplies improve," added Conrad.
