Honda has typically been on the forefront of automobile innovation and their latest concept car is a testament to that. Honda has also historically kept their concept cars under wraps. So when the Honda 3D-Printed EV Concept vehicle was unveiled after the Paris Motor Show, people were shocked.

Starting with a light but safe pipe-based skeleton, the concept car is built from 3D-printed panels and can be customized entirely by the owner. This is made possible by the Variable Design platform for micro EVs. Entry points can be made lower for the elderly or handicapped, it can grow to fit a family of three, or have a hatchback for easy loading and unloading for delivery purposes. While it’s still in its very early stages of research and development, the concept vehicle on display was a working prototype and the lucky few who were able to take a ride seemed to have great fun!
